Eagle SPC, на 2006 очень вряд ли.
Eagle SPC,

Minneapolis, August 17, 2009 – Alliant Techsystems (NYSE: ATK) has received a $20 million order from the U.S. Marine Corps to produce Scalable Plate CarriersTM and components. The Scalable Plate CarriersTM (SPC) are scheduled for delivery by the end of January 2010, and will be produced by the company’s recently acquired, wholly-owned subsidiary Eagle Industries.
The SPC, designed by Eagle Industries in 2008, maximizes Marines’ agility, while relieving heat and weight stress due to carrying individual combat loads in arduous environments. The SPC’s slim and highly adaptable configuration allows Marines to adjust the load to match ever-changing mission profiles. In Afghanistan, Marines are operating at higher altitudes and the SPC provides ballistic protection in that environment. The features of this system are specifically designed to lighten the Marine’s load, increasing maneuverability, lethality, and survivability.
During 9-20 March 2009, testing was conducted at Camp Pendleton, CA with Marines from Company I, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment. They tested the Modular Tactical Vest and the ISPC plate carrier to find advantages and disadvantages. After days of operations in various conditions, Marines preferred the lighter ISPC, especially for longer periods of wear and in the heat. However, they noted that the plate carrier doesn"t have as much frag protection as the MTV; it is more vulnerable to grenade shrapnel. ISPC also does not distribute the weight as well as the MTV.
Marines with 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, who used the MTV in Afghanistan, tested the Improved Scalable Plate Carrier at Camp Lejeune, NC during a five day period in late April and early May 2009. They reported that changes to the shoulder area did in fact provide better load and weight distribution. The ISPC was given high marks for increased mobility, durability and comfort. ISPC also simplifies donning/doffing.
In September 2009, Marine commanders in Afghanistan formally permitted the use of the ISPC instead of the full MTV for many operations, based on the mission and the threat to the Marines.
Товарищи маринзы, подскажите пожалуйста, когда MCCUU приняли в КМП?
