Nate Smith served with 1st and 2nd Ranger Battalions in the US Army from 1993 to 2000. While a member of the Regiment Nate graduated from several military courses including the U.S. Army Ranger School, Special Operations Training (CQB), Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape and Advanced Demolitions Training. In 1994 Nate deployed to Haiti in support of Operation Uphold Democracy. Nate’s duty positions included machine gun and rifle team leader as well as rifle and weapon squad leader billets. Nate also served as the Battalion Training Non Commissioned Officer at 2nd Ranger Battalion.
In 2008 Nate left law enforcement to work as a private security contractor. He has worked extensively in both Iraq and Afghanistan on State Department, Department of Defense and other classified contracts in high threat, non-permissive environments.
Nate is the former unit director the 2nd Battalion Chapter of the 75th Ranger Regiment Association and remains an active member of the Association.
Nate has worked as an instructor for ArmorGroup, General Dynamics (Stryker Infantry Vehicle) and SOC. He has trained with Combat Shooting and Tactics, Tactical Insider, Red Back One , International Training Incorporated, O’Gara Group, Moorefield Training Center, HSSI, CQD, Arrestling and the High Desert-Special Operations Center as well as several other law enforcement and military training courses.
